The Mentawai program is an adventures tour and exploration of Siberut tribes who still live in the forests and its vegetation, roots of trees and raw-flush of hunted animal such as hogs, monkeys etc. No hotel or restaurant exist on the island. So, the people joining the tour as to sleep in wooden/bamboo huts and it preserved food which has been made available on the request for the tour. People joining the tour are requested to prepare trekking shoes, water shoes, sleeping bed and dozes of malaria pills. Tour is only possible when day 01 of the program is a Monday or Thursday, because the ferry to Siberut Island usually departs on Monday and Thursday.

DAY 01 : PADANG - BUKITTINGGI
After meeting and greeting service on arrival at Tabing Airport of Padang and drive through the scenic valleys and mountains in the charming cool highland town Bukittinggi. Check in at hotel and afternoon free for own activities.

DAY 02 : MINANGKABAU TOUR
After breakfast at hotel a full day tour will start with Bukittinggi sightseeing visiting Sianok Canyon (Asean Grand Canyon), Fort De Kock, Zoo, Museum and Jam Gadang (Big Ben). Then proceed to the unique land of matrilineal Minangkabau visiting Batu Sangkar, the ancient Minangkabau Kingdom, Pagaruyung the Minangkabau king’s palace, a symbol of Minangkabau architecture. Enjoy the specific Padang rice table for lunch in beautiful rice fields. Proceed to Singkarak Lake, the largest lake of West Sumatra visiting Lima Kaum, Ombilin, Pandai Sikat a famous village for weaving and woodcarving. Then back to Bukittinggi.

DAY 03 : B.TINGGI - MANINJAU - PADANG
After breakfast at the hotel proceed to Maninjau Lake visiting Koto Gadang a village famous for silver filligram work, Embun Pagi a panoramic view to the fascinating volcanic Maninjau Lake and Kelok 44, a breath taking forty four hair-pin curved road enjoying the forty four different views of the lake. In the afternoon drive through beautiful landscape to Padang. City tour of Padang visiting Museum, culture centre and to harbour for the departure to Siberut by ferry. Dinner and overnight in boat

DAY 04 : SIBERUT TOUR
Earlier in the morning, arrive at Muara Siberut preparation and registration with the local authorities. After lunch depart by small boat through river to Madobak village. Overnight in the local house.

DAY 05 : TREKING 6-7 HOURS
After breakfast trekking to Matotanan village through tropical rain forests. The trekking will be through the muddy field, small river and jungle where monkeys, hogs, and others animal can be seen. Overnight in Madobak village. (lunch and dinner will be provided)

DAY 06 : MENTAWAI CULTURE
After breakfast explore the daily life activities of Mentawai such as fishing, cultivating the Taro field, making sago (main food), hunting and in the evening join ceremony of Mentawai dance and folk songs with the Mentawai people with usually is performed on the arrival of strange people in other to keep their spiritual power. Dinner provided during the ceremony together with the local people and overnight in the bamboo huts.

DAY 07 : TREKING 6-7 HOURS
After breakfast trek and sail through the river by traditional boat (sampan) to the Rogdod village. In the afternoon arrive in Rogdod inn for overnight stay. Lunch and dinner will be provided

DAY 8 : SIBERUT - PADANG
After breakfast free to explore the Mentawai life and in the evening transfer by the ferry boat back to Padang. Over night in the boat, lunch and dinner will be provided.

DAY 09 : PADANG
Earlier in the morning arrive in Padang and transfer to the hotel. The whole days is free at your own leisure.

DAY 10 : PADANG - AIRPORT
After breakfast free on own activities until the time for departure flight to next destination.
