The Gunung Leuser and Kerinci Seblat National Parks are one of the grandest and largest national parks of Asia and home to the most diverse fauna of Indonesia, from tigers to elephants, rhinos to orang-utans and squirrels to bears. Here you also find the world’s most exotic flora, like the giant Rafflesia as the world’s largest flower and the Amorphophallus as the world’s tallest bloom with a record-height of over three metres
DAY 01 : PADANG - SUNGAI PENUH
Transfer from Padang to Sungai Penuh. In the afternoon we visit Lake Kerinci. Overnight at hotel in Sungai Penuh.
DAY 02 : SUNGAI PENUH - PELOMPEK
Sightseeing around the park. Scenic drive to Pelompek, surrounded by the tea plantations of Kayu Aro, at the foot of the highest mountain of Sumatra, the Kerinci Volcano (3803 m). On the way we visit the 250 years old mosque Mesjid Agung and the hot springs at Semerup. Overnight at basic gueshouse in Pelompek.
DAY 03 : PELOMPEK
Sightseeing around the park. We make a hike to the crater lake Gunung Tujuh (1996 m), surrounded by tropical rain forest. Maybe we see the singing Siamangs! Overnight at guesthouse in Pelompek.
DAY 04 : PELOPEK - PADANG
Transfer from Pelompek to Padang, visiting the “Letter W” waterfall at Batang Sangir, the twin-lakes Danau Atas and Danau Bawah and the Cupak Minangkabau traditional house near Solok. Overnight at hotel in Padang.
DAY 05 : PADANG - AIRPORT
Transfer to Padang airport. End of tour.
